The Last Final Project

I have officially completed my last final project with Flatiron school, and am filled with a mixture of elation and nervousness. The blood sweat and tears I’ve put into learning how to program from scratch have been plentiful and I’m so proud to have made it this far.

I’m incredibly relieved and happy to have completed my project (just before my deadline of 6/30!) and feel nostalgic in remembering my very first Ruby project. It seems so simple now, although at the time it seemed next to impossible to complete.

I am looking forward to my final review and plan to spend the next week voraciously reviewing to ensure there are no holes in my knowledge of the curriculum. I will also be continuing to practice coding each day, as I have a tendency to freeze under pressure and am most nervous about the live coding section.

I hope within the next two weeks I will be celebrating with friends and family, and adding ‘Flatiron Graduate’ to my LinkedIn profile.

The thing I look forward to the most is purchasing a Mac as a graduation present to myself. I’ve completed this journey using an ancient laptop that runs at the speed of a brick (and which has given me the blue screen of death twice but somehow still lives). What a relief it will be to have a computer that functions with real speed.

All in all, I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned and look forward to many more years of coding.
